A nice collectable WW1 item from the 8th London Royal Field Artillery made by W.L Parker & Co Limited, Manufacturers Contractors, Birmingham. 

Button polishing sticks were introduced in the later part of WW1 by the British Army & have become a collectable in their own right due to the various manufacturers & styles. Some are unmarked but this is an early pattern brass stick issued in WW1
