A very little known about but 100% original cap badge from the post W.W.2 1948 to 1974 era of British fire brigade & fire service reforms, bought about after disbanding the N.F.S (National Fire Service) in 1947 & returning firefighting to County & County Borough control!
This West Riding Of Yorkshire Fire Brigade cap badge from that era was only used by the Fire Brigade Band & not on operational or on duty service, the normal red ring badge on home office star was the official brigade issue & a handful of these, specially commissioned badges, maybe one batch ( ? ? ) was authorized by the fire service to be worn by band members at official functions!
In used but 100 % original condition, a great hard to obtain badge to interest the discerning fire brigade cap badge collector!
