A very rare small star variation of the West Bromwich Fire Brigade which was in service for just 7 years from 1967 to 1974. The West Bromwich Fire Brigade had 3 stations covering 20 square miles of the West Bromwich borough area & had 2 variations of the cap badge issued being a large & small home office star. This variation is the 2mm thick base metal & enamel finish on the very hard to obtain on the fully pressed home office star. The enamelled centre secured by a thin brass pin & an excellent example for the fire service cap badge collector to purchase from a brigade only in force for 7 years !
