A Welsh Order of St John Priory for Wales cap badge in good condition. An early badge manufactured by William Dowler & Sons of Birmingham, the nickel badge has both brass cap fixing lugs to the rear of the cap badge indicating an early issue badge. 
The Order of St John Ambulance Brigade was first started in 1877 and has branches worldwide. Staffed by volunteers who are taught first aid & emergency medical treatment and are run by The International Order Of St John's Hospital in Jerusalem.
