A joint U.S & Russian cloth arm badge for the STS 88 Space Mission 1998.. STS 88 was the first trip to the International Space Station and launched December 4th 1998 and lasted 11 days, landing on December 15th at the Kennedy Space Centre, Florida. Aboard were 6 astronauts Commander Robert D. Cabana, Pilot Frederick W. Sturckow, Mission Specialists Nancy J. Currie, Jerry L. Ross, James H. Newman and Sergei K. Krikalev. 

This famous trip also broke another record of spacewalk time being Jerry Ross who completed his 7th walk totalling 44 hours. 

The mission was to attach the first module to the International Space Station and was a success.
