An original early issue Tynemouth Fire Brigade post war cap badge issued between 1948 & 1974. The cap badge is complete but has slight enamel damage that has been repaired, the lugs on the rear of the standrad economy issue, lined Home Office star also show brass through the chrome, an indication of a late 1940's, early 1950's issue as later issues were all chrome. An honest badge for a small North Eastern seaside town with 1 fire station covering 7 square miles of area & not so many original cap badges available on the open market
