Surrey Fire Brigade post 1948 has had 4 patterns of cap badge including the modern fire and rescue service badge.  This cap badge is the 1st pattern red ring in use until 1974. The badge has a slight chip to the enamel under the letter A in BRIGADE but is a complete cap badge and in otherwise good condition,, the enamel centre fitted to the standard fully pressed Home Office star and both cap fixing lugs intact to the rear of the cap badge
