An original used condition Stoke on Trent City Fire Brigade 1948 to 1974 chrome variation of the 2 badges available during this period. There is some damage to the enamel centre, fixed to the standard economy issue, lined Home Office star via a thin brass pin. Both cap fixing lugs intact to the rear of the cap badge and brass showing through the chrome, a great indication of an early issued badge. All chrome lugs were in use from the late 1950's. 
Stoke On Trent City Fire Brigade post ww2 had 3 fire stations covering 33 square miles of area and merged into Staffordshire Fire Brigade in 1974. The 2 known badges in force are a chrome & a gilt variation.
