Stockport Fire Brigade post ww2 was established in 1948 after The N.F.S ( National Fire Brigade ) handed back fire control to regional county & county borough fire brigades. Stockport Fire Brigade, a county borough fire brigade had 2 fire stations covering 12 square miles of the surrounding area.

This Stockport Fire Brigade cap badge is in excellent condition. 100% original condition has the enamel centre fixed to standard economy issue, lined Home Office star by a thin brass pin, both cap fixing lugs intact to the rear of the cap badge.
