The Special Constabulary Medal was instituted in August 1919 just after The Great War of ww1 ( 1914 to 1918 ) by King George 5th, initially to gain recognition to the special constabulary for their services during that campaign of war ! It was then renamed in 1920 by Royal Warrant as The Special Constabulary Long Service Medal.

Made of bronze metal this medal bears the coinage head type for George 6th reigning from 1937 to 1952 & named to Special Constable David R Glass & is in good condition with the original ribbon attached.
