A Sheffield Fire Brigade 1948 to 1974 officers gilt cap badge.
Post world war 2 Sheffiield Fire Brigade was formed in 1947 after the National Fire Service was disbanded. A county borough fire brigade it merged into South Yorkshire County Fire Service in 1974. This gilt variation cap badge is an officers badge. Manufactured by Mike Trueman Badges of Birmingham the badge is in excellent condition. The enamel centre fixed to the standard economy issue lined HYome Office star, both cap fixing lugs intact to the rear of the cap badge.
