A nice K.C. (kings crown) WW2 sweetheart brooch from the oldest tank regiment of the British Army.

Originally formed in 1916 as the Tank Corps, first seeing action in WW1 at The Battle Of Flers-Courcelette in 1916 at The Battle Of The Somme, there were 6 (six) tank companies & at that time were designated part of The Machine Gun Corps as The Heavy Section!
In 1923 the regiment was renamed The Royal Tank Corps, given the title Royal by its Commander In Chief, King George 5th & the motto “Fear Naught” was added to the regiments badge, still in force today!
In April 1939 the regiment was again renamed as The Royal Tank Regiment & became part of the newly formed Royal Armoured Corps which saw much action throughout WW2 (world war 2) including The Battles of Dunkirk, El Amein & D-Day, its most famous commander Field Marshall Bernard Law Montgomery or “Monty” to his troops, always wore the regiments badge cap badge alongside his field marshall cap badge, a sign of his pride in the regiment!
This is a long brooch clip sweetheart badge in white metal & enamel, in good condition!
