A rare opportunity to own a hard to obtain fire brigade cap badge with only 50 manufactured & 30 firefighters. The Resource Facility Fire Service was tasked with protecting the R.A.F Base St Mawgan in Cornwall. The base is a training base for S.E.R.E which in short is for training approx 5,000 M.O.D recruits in survival, evading capture, resisting detection & Extraction from the field.

A limited batch of only 50 orderd by the service & only 30 firefighters strength, not many original cap badges appear on the open market for sale.

The short lifespan of this Government commissioned fire service lasted just 5 years from 1997 to 2002 when it was abolished & taken over by Defence Fire & Rescue Services. This is the government organisation that administers fire cover for all British Military Properties.

The badge manufactured by London Badge & Button Company who officially supplied this brigade, is a one piece badge, the monarch's crown adorning the badge as an official government issue cap badge. Copies cannot be made by law under crown copyright laws so any badge that comes on the market is one of only 50 in existence & are quickly snapped up by eager collectors .
