This very rare Preston one piece fully pressed Fire Brigade Cap Badge 1947 to 1974 is the rarest of the Preston varieties available to collectors of original badges!

Preston boasts 2 fire brigade cap badges that are on the rare list, the others are still in the 'hard to obtain category' and still command high prices on the open market.

This version is rarer then the semi-pressed variety which is still rare. Many copies have been made of this badge, they started faking rare pre 1974 in 1976, just after the change-over period from County Borough to County Badges. Some smaller borough brigades are worth large sums in original badge condition, however, the fakers cant fool handed down knowledge from original badge manufacturers!
