The post war Preston Fire Brigade cap badges are quite rare, those worn by the AFS personel were different from the one piece badge worn by full time firefighters. The red ring variations of chrome and gilt exist but are still quite difficult to obtain as originals, copies have been made ! This is a 100 % original gilt example with excellent patina. Unfortunately the badge has only one cap fixing lug but for display purposes is a very nice example.
