The Scottish Northern Area Fire Brigade was formed in 1948 after the NFS ( National Fire Service 1941 to 1947 ) handed back fire control to regional county & county borough fire brigades.
Northern Area Fire Brigade had 16 fire stations & 33 volunteer fire stations covering 10,941 square miles. 
This senior officers cap badge is complete but has suffered damage in a house fire. It is an original issued badge & not a reproduction.
