Formed in 1974 by the merger of Gwynedd Constabulary which handled most of the North Of wales & taking in former Flintshire Constabulary ( 1967 to 1974 ) & Denbighshire Constabulary  (1967 to 1974 ), the force remains the same today. This one piece economy pressed white metal Q.C ( Queen Elizabeth's St Edwards Crown ) is in good condition manufactured by Firmin Badge Company of London , firmly stamped into the cap fixing slider to the rear of the badge.
