A Lyndsey County Fire Brigade 1948 to 1974 gilt waves variation cap badge.
Lyndsey County Fire Brigade was formed in 1947 after the National Fire Service was disbanded, with 27 fire stations covering 1,502 square miles of area. Three different variations of cap badge were used during the 1948 to 1974 era when the brigade merged into Lincolnshire Fire Brigade.
The 3 variations that exist are gilt waves, chrome waves or white waves within the shield. This is the gilt waves variation in excellent condition manufactured by Mike Trueman Badges of Birmingham, the enamel centre fixed to the standard economy lined Home Office star & both cap fixing lugs intact to the rear of the cap badge.
