The old South Eastern Fire Brigade of Scotland originally formed in 1948 was disbanded in 1975 to form The Lothian & Borders Fire Brigade, this lasted 19 years until the brigade changed its title to Lothian & Borders Fire & Rescue Service in 2005, then amalgamating with all other Scottish fire service brigades in 2013 to form The Scottish Fire & Rescue Service!
This cap badge manufactured by Mike Trueman Badges of Birmingham retains an excellent gilt patina on the 2mm enamelled centre, the standard issue fully pressed home office star retaining its cap fixing lugs to the rear, the enamelled centre secured by the 2 straps.
