A superb Condition London Fire Brigade badged Helmets Limited County Style cork fire helmet in mint unworn condition. These helmets were introduced in the late 1960's & replaced the high cone pattern helmets in use from the late 1940's. In the early 1970's the previous black coloured helmets were replaced or repainted yellow, a common practice at the time rather than issue new helmets. 
London continued to use this pattern helmet untill 1988/89 when the New Zealand Pacific fire helmets with visors were issued. 
This particular helmet is dated 1990 so it is possible that the London triple crown transfer introduced in 1988 was added to a normal mint condition unissued helmet because by 1990 the Pacific helmets were already in use with London Fire Brigade. However London Fire Brigade did use these particular helmets & it would make a nice addition to a fire helmet collectors display.
