An original issued and used cap badge from the small county borough post war fire brigade in Kingston Upon Hull on the North East English coast. After the NFS ( National Fire Service ) handed back fire control to regional county and county borough fire brigades, Kingston Upon Hull Fire Brigade lasted until 1974 being disbanded and meged in Humberside Fire Brigade. With 4 fire stations covering 23 square miles of area, 2 variations of cap badge were issued and worn during this period. a chrome and gilt variation of the same badge design. 

This is a good used original chrome variation cap badge which has a few minor enamel flaws, an early issue indicated by the brass rear cap fitting lugs brass showing through the chrome finish. the lugs still intact to the rear of the standard economy issue, lined Home Office star.. A

 good old original badge used by the Kingston Upon Hull Fire Brigade late 1940's and early 1950's.
