A nice later production Imperial German Prussian Reserve officers helmet with a commemorative plaque attached to the helmet badge, fixed above the Landwehr cross situated between the eagles legs. The prominent officers spike with traditional star shaped bolts & Prussian officers pattern perlring at the base of the spike. Complete with brass scaled chinstrap & cockades, the helmet is in good overall condition for its age, leather liner intact, there is a crack to the rear brass fixing bolt plate underneath the helmet.

The inscription on the helmet badge commemoration plate reads “ Fur Auszeichnung d. vormalig konigl schwedischenleibregt. Konigm” which although we do not understand the full translation means roughly “formerly awarded to Swedish Royalty” ?? We leave that one to you to decipher but an interesting pickelhaube to have on our site !
