The Grand Duchy of Hesse Darmstadt was an internal territory within Germany near Baden, situated on the River Rhine, the capital being Darmstadt. Became a monarchy in 1806 & lasting until the German Revolution at the end of WW1 in 1918. 

Displaying the ball top, a standard artillery regiment furniture for the top of the helmet as opposed to a spike, also depicting the state & national cockades plus the Hesse Darmstadt coat of arms front helmet badge. This helmet is a fine quality reproduction in brand new condition for the collector or re-enactor alike, made of a leather skull & liner these make fine display pieces for a fraction of the cost of a real WW1 helmet.
