Hertfordshire were the 1st brigade in the country to issue its fire cadets with a named cap badge of the county. Prior to that most brigades issued the same cap badge which was a red enamel circlet with the words Fire Service Cadet within it & a smooth chrome centre in the middle. This cap badge manufactured by Mike Trueman Badges of Birmingham, official supplier of cadet badges to the brigade is in excellent condition,. The enamel centre fixed to the standard lined economy issue Home Office star by 2 straps, the cap fixing lugs are intact to the rear of the cap badge.
