Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service was formed in 1993 after changing it's title from fire brigade. The area it covered was 149 square miles with 54 fire stations. There are 2 manufacturers who supplied cap badges to the brigade, Toye Kenning & Spencer Badge Manufacturing Company supplied the 1st batch & Mike Trueman Badges of Birmingham supplied the 2nd batch. There are in existence 6 GILT cap badges that were known to have been made but not issued. These cap badges are very rare indeed.

This cap badge manufactured by Toye Kenning & Spencer is in good condition. The enamel centre fixed to the standard lined economy issue Home Office star & both cap fixing lugs intact to the rear of the cap badge.
