Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service formed in 1993 after Hampshire Fire Brigade changed its title. The service lasted until 2021 when a new joint fire service Hampshire & Isle Of Wight Fire & Rescue Service was formed. This is for one badge but notice the 2 different sizes !
The Hampshire Fire & Rescue badge is unique in British Fire Brigade history as the ONLY British county Fire & Rescue Service to have permission to utilise Queen Elizabeth 2nd's coronet within its badge. This was achieved when the famous Deputy Chief Fire Officer of Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service, Alan House, took it upon himself to redesign the badge for the newly formed service. He wrote to Her Majesty for permission to use her coronet above the Hampshire shield, Permisson was officially granted and the first ever UK County fire service displayed the Queen Elizabeth 2nd coronet as part of its badge !
