A great original and used example of the 2nd patern Exeter Fire Brigade 1948 to 1974 period. This example is the chrome enamel shield and scroll variation in excellent condition. The patina on the enamel is good, both cap fixing lugs attached to the standard lined economy issue Home Office star. The lugs show signs of being pinched when in use on a cap.
