An Essex Fire & Rescue Service cap badge from 1985 manufactured by London Badge & Button Company of Northamptonshire, official suppliers to the brigade. The gilt enamel centre attached to the standard fully pressed Home Office star.  There are no cap fixing lugs to the rear of the cap badge.
