The Auxiliary Fire Service formed in England in 1938 when Britain was making preparations for the inevitable coming of ww2 ( World War Two 1939 to 1945 )  ! It did carry on post wartime until 1968 unlike its wartime partner The N.F.S ( National Fire Service 1941 to 1947 ). 
This cloth badge is the woven example in excellent original condition.
