The 1974 Durham County Fire Brigade cap badge changed again after the Fire Service Reforms Act of that year, this time changing to 4 diamonds & a central rose in the shield. This cap badge remained in force until 1993 when the brigade changed its title to Fire & Rescue Brigade, hence adopting the new title within the scroll. This cap badge manufactured by Firmin & Sons is complete & in great condition, the 2 cap fixing lugs also attached to the rear.
