A Dorset Fire Brigade cap badge from the period 1954 to 1998 when the brigade changed its title to Fire & Rescue Service. There are 2 variations of the badge, one with the tips of the turret touching the outer red ring circlet & another with a gap between the tips & the outer red ring circlet.
This cap badge manufactured by Mike Trueman Badges of Birmingham is in good condition, the enamel centre fixed to the standard lined economy issue Home Office star, the 2 cap fixing lugs intact to the rear.
