Manufactured by Mike Trueman Badges of Birmingham, Croydon Fire Brigade was dissolved into London Fire Brigade in 1965 & prior to 1965 had 3 fire stations covering the 20 square miles of the then Croydon Borough. 

This cap badge is in excellent condition & has the enamel centre fixed to the standard economy issue, lined Home Office star by 2 straps, both cap fixing lugs intact to the rear of the cap badge.. There are a few variations of the Croydon Fire Brigade cap badge of this era, this variation has the thin "German cross" & small birds variation. A nice cap badge in great condition for the collector !
