An original Croydon Fire Brigade 1948 to 1965 cap badge manufactured by London Badge & Button Company of Northamptonshire. Croydon Fire Brigade was dissolved into London Fire Brigade in 1965 & prior to 1965 had 3 fire stations covering the 20 square miles of the then Croydon Borough. 

This cap badge is in near mint excellent condition & does not appear to have been applied to a cap at any stage of its life. There are a few variations of the Croydon Fire Brigade cap badge of this era, this variation has the thin "German cross" & small birds variation. A nice cap badge in originbal condition for the collector !
