A rare opportunity to own one of the harder to obtain modern fire service cap badges. The Cornwall Fire Brigade produced a commemorative cap badge marking the 50th Anniversary of the fire brigade in 1998. This cap badge was issued to all serving firefighters in Cornwall between the years of 1998 to 1999 ONLY & consisted of a yellow scroll beneath the Cornish coat of arms ! From 1999 they continued to issue the black scroll variation which had been in force since 1974 & until 2004, the brigade then changed it's title to Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service & adopted a new scroll in yellow but with the new title change !

These 50th Anniversary cap badges are very sought after now by collectors & were manufactured by Firmin who were official suppliers to the brigade. Worn just for one year at the end of the 1900's the badge is in immaculate condition with both cap fixing lugs to the rear & appearing to have never been on a cap !
