A Cornwall Fire Brigade 1974 to 2004 black scroll cap badge. This badge was not issued in 1997 to 1998 as a special 50th anniversary cap badge with yellow scroll was issued in that year only and then reverted back to the black scroll until the Fire & Rescue cap badge with yellow scroll came into force in 2004. 
This cap badge manufactured by Mike Trueman Badges of Birmingham has the enamel centre fixed to the standard issue economy lined Home Office star, only one cap fixing lug is attached to the rear of the cap badge.
