The black scroll variation of the post ww2 Cornwall County Fire Brigade appeared in 1974 after the Fire Service Reforms of the same year. This variation lasted until 1998 when for one year only, a yellow scroll cap badge was produced to mark the 50th Anniversary of the Cornwall County Fire Brigade ! These cap badges with the yellow scroll underneath the Cornwall county emblem are extremely hard to come by with the words "Cornwall Fire Brigade". The brigade continued issueing the black scroll variation cap badge after 1 year until changing its full title in 2009 to Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service, also adopting a new yellow scroll !
