A highly desireable private fire service transfer owing to the limited time in use, just 4 years !! The transfer was used for only this length of time & not so many were produced until the new badge was adopted, the new title being Amey Comax Fire & Rescue Services after the company was bought out by Amey PLC ( Public Limited Company ) in 1999, the construction company & infrastructure support network ! The badge was changed to an entirely different design & renamed !

The Comax company named Comax U.K were the catering & hygene / sanitorial giants with head offices in Oxford. Being bought out again in 2003 by the Spanish multinational company Grupo Ferrovial or Ferrovial as it is now known who allowed Amey Comax to continue operating under the same name. However the fire service badge for this industrial fire brigade was changed again & the new badge adopted is a similar version of the current I.C.I Fire & Rescue Services badge without the word I.C.I but the same emblem ! The cap badges are made by Mike Trueman Badges of Birmingham who supplied a limited batch to the works fire brigade. The companies headquarters are in Madrid & they are a giant company owning many companies with special interests in airports including B.A.A ( British Airport Authorities who they bought in 2006 for £10 billion !! )
