Clewyd Fire Service was formed in 1974 & lasted 23 years until 1997 when the Welsh fire services all amalgamated into just 43 brigades being North Wales Fire Service, South Wales Fire Service & Mid & West Wales Fire Service.

This Clewyd Fire Service cap badge manufactured by Mike Trueman Badges of Birmingham is in excellent condition. The enamel centre fixed to the standard fully pressed home office star & both cap fixing lugs intact to the rear of the badge.
