Berkshire & Reading Fire Brigade was formed in 1948 & disbanded in 1974 when the brigade changed its name to Royal Berkshire Fire Brigade. This cap badge is in good condition & both cap fixing lugs intact to the rear of the economy issue standard home office star, the enamel centre correctly secured to the star via a thin brass pin.
