This is a solid Silver Belgian Order of Leopold II instituted in 1900, pre 1951 medal, due to the motto around the central area of the badge being Flemish and not bilingual. For some reason this medal is very hard to obtain and rarer then the gold or bronze varieties. 

Weighs 35 grams and awarded for bravery in combat or 20 years meritorious service to Privates and Corporals.

There is a minor dink next to the lion but does not detract from the overall look of this beautiful solid silver medal.
