This is the 1st pattern cap badge of the newly formed in 1996 Bedfordshire & Luton Fire & Rescue Service. Manufactured by London Badge & Button Company, official cap badge suppliers to the brigade, the badge has the enamel centre fixed to the fully pressed issue Home Office star, both cap fixing lugs intact to the rear of the badge. There is chipped enamel to the disc, hence the price.
