An nice used but excellent condition thick rim variation of the 1st pattern post war Bedforshire Fire Service 1948. Issued for only 4 years, this "Roman Numerals" cap badge has retained its superb patina on the gilt enamel centre, attached to the standard fully pressed issue Home Office star, the chrome lugs intact and show signs of being worn on a cap.
