An opportunity to own a badge not many collectors can obtain, a very rare chrome example the normally gilt Angus Area Fire Brigade 1948 to 1975 cap badge. I know of 3 badges existing including this and the one in my collection. There is one in a frame of badges at Hove Fire Station in West Sussex owned by another well known fire badge collector Mick Millard. If anyone knows of any other genuine chrome examples i'm all ears and will amend the amount known in existence. Many chrome looking Angus Area Fire Brigade cap badges are badly worn gilt examples, this badge has the chrome lugs of the enamel centre sticking through the rear of the Home Office star and is 100 % original. Possibly one of the factory samples sent to the brigade for approval on a card of various types and styles, shades etc and has found its way on to the open market. This came from a 40 year old collection of 311 badges bought in May 2023 !
