Alderney State Fire Brigade came into being in 1948 after the Fire Services Act of 1947 transformed all fire brigades in the UK from National Fire Service control to county and county borough fire brigades. This small chanel Island fire brigade lasted until 2021 when the island combined all of its emergency services into one service, Alderney Fire, Ambulance and Rescue Service, the 1st of its kind in the UK to be named such ! 
This cap badge manufactured by London Badge and Button Company is in excellent condition. The enamel centre fixed to the standard fully pressed Home Office star, both cap fixing lugs intact to the rear of the badge.
